Earth Science in the News

The Earth Sciences are not static subjects! Scientists are making new discoveries every day. We've created this Web page in order to feature some of the exciting new research in the Earth Sciences.

Each month, we select an article or Web page to feature, with an emphasis on new research results. When possible, we draw on articles published on-line from resources listed in our Science in the News section. We provide links to related materials and Web sites, and identify relevant classroom activities. We've also provided a template for student reports.
